And tadaaaaa!!!! Herewith I proudly present:
another layout with a lovely picture of my grandmother from mother's side.
The photo was taken on occasion of the engagement of my grandparents. I have a similar photograph of my grandfather however that picture is badly damaged so I have to do some photo editing on that one... (to be continued :-)

A lot of stuff on this layout I made myself, such as the butterfly, the leaves and some of the flowers.
Exceptionally, this layout is not hand-stitched; this time I used the sewing machine!
Papers: Purple paper from "Old World Stack" (DCWV), green paper from paper pad "Classic K McKenna by K & Company
Flowers with white heart: Mulberry flowers
Butterfly made from grungeboard, crackle paint & distress stains
Key: K & Company
Ornamental frame cut with my cricut
Vintage pictures are from "Vintage Memories" (The Crafthouse Press)
Wooden letters bought on Etsy
Number tags: Paper Joy
Purple flowers and leaves I made myself
Purple flowers are made out of coffee filters

The tutorial for the leaves I saw on the blog of Paulien van den Bosch and just couldn't resist to try it myself.
It's just BRILLIANT! Leaves made out of toilet rolls! :-) (Environment-friendly as well!!!!)
If you want to try it yourself, here's the tutorial.
For flowers made out of coffee filters a lot of tutorials can be found on youtube
I just cut some flowers with the tattered flower die from Tim Holtz, sprayed with glimmer mist, dried them and crumbled them up a bit and that's it!

Butterfly tutorial: cut butterflies from grungeboard an apply a fair amount of crackle paint clear rock candy from Ranger. Once the crackle paint had dried completely, apply distress stains from Ranger.
Easy Peasy!

Another heart from AINA fabric from IKEA, this time with an guardian angel on it.
For a friend who need some support...
Hope it helps... :-)
En nog een hartje van AINA stof van IKEA, ditmaal met een beschermengeltje erop.
Voor een vriend die wel wat steun kan gebruiken...
Ik hoop dat het helpt :-)

Here's a small impression of the techniques I learned at the Tim Holtz Techniques workshop last week:
Technique: Marbleizing Distress stains & Picket Fence, then spritzing water
Technique: crackle paint on grungeboard & distress stains
Technique: alcohol ink & Snow Cap Mixative on metal
Technique: Ranger distress markers on stamped image
Technique: working with masks & distress inks
Technique: Paint with Paint Dabber over raised image, then ink with distress ink. This is a resist-technique: The Paint will resist the ink.
Technique: distress embossing ink on metal (heat-embossing)
Hierbij een kleine impressie van een aantal technieken die ik vorige week leerde op de Tim Holtz Technieken workshop bij de Craftorij:

A dear friend of mine will be going through a rough time so I made her a card.
Just to let her know that she's in our thoughts...
Keep your head high girl!!!
Paper: Eline's huis
Fabric: AINA from IKEA
Bird stamp: Inkadinkadoo
I did a little embroidery on the stamped image
I used a SU! punch for the label (printed on the PC)
Backside
Een goede vriendin van mij zal de komende tijd door een moeilijke periode gaan dus maakte ik een kaartje voor haar. Gewoon om haar te laten weten dat we aan haar denken.
Kom op meid, wees sterk!
